No projects yet
Projects are usually created in the phone app and appear here automatically once the phone has synced. You can also create one below — it will sync back to the phone.
This week
The remaining AI Safety Assistant items for your working week (Saturday–Thursday). Click to open the Assistant.
New project
Selected project — site location
The project's site as a plain place name. It shows on the dashboard info line and gives the site weather when no live position is available. Changing it clears the cached site pin, exactly as on the phone.
No project selected
Create a project on the Dashboard (or in the phone app) first.
Daily manpower log
One entry per day — saving a date that already exists updates that day (same rule as the phone app).
| Date | Manpower | Hours/day | Manhours |
|---|
Days marked AUTO were carried forward from the last entry — tap any day to correct it.
Opening balance — previous safe manhours
Safe manhours the project had already banked before daily logging began. An LTI dated after the “as of” date wipes this balance from the safe count (it always stays in total exposure) — the same rule as the phone app.
Lost-Time Injuries (LTI)
Recording an LTI restarts the safe-manhours clock from that date. The LTI day itself does not count as safe.
| # | Date | Element | Type | Risk | Observation | Closeout statement | Status | Stream |
|---|
No observations for this project yet.

Reports —
Reports has two doors, like the phone: Generate Reports below — ONE list holding every report type; pick one and its creation screen opens, with the same inputs everywhere (attach a format or use the app's own way, Date · Location · Project · Company, a save-in choice and the umbrella outputs). And the Report Library (its own tab) — ONE main folder holding all your saving folders with their names, where every saved file can be opened, shared, edited, renamed, converted, moved or deleted.
Generate Reports
Every report the app can generate, in one list. Tap a row to open it, then tap Create report — the same creation screen its own section opens. There are no built-in client formats any more: attach any site's own format and the app fills it.
Weekly HSE Report
The phone app's summary reports, built here from the selected project's synced data — the Weekly HSE Report for the current week (Saturday to Friday, labelled with its exact dates) and the Monthly H&S Statistical Report for the current calendar month. Real figures only: a period with no data says so in plain words.
…or attach your own format
Attach a format file (.docx, .xlsx or .pptx) and the computed figures fill exactly that file by its labels; with none attached, the app's own layout is used. The umbrella outputs below then render from the same figures.
House formats
The phone app's house formats, generated the same way: describe the case, the AI drafts the content in the format's own structure, and the real format file is filled cell-by-cell. Uses AI drafting (your Replicate token from Settings, or the Safety Observer server while signed in) — about $0.001 per document on your own token. Every section offers the same trio as the phone: Generate AI format · Attach format · Attach photos — attach your own format file in a section's panel and it is filled with the same drafted content (photos you attach are placed into Word formats as evidence pages; photo AREAS inside Excel house formats are filled on the phone).
Your own attached format
Like the phone app: attach your own report format (.xlsx workbook with an Observations & Actions register, or a .docx tour format), map its categories to the 31 elements, and generate from it here. The format file is stored only in this browser — the same way the phone keeps it on the device; only the field mappings sync with your account. If the attached file is missing from a browser, attach it there again.
AI Safety Assistant
Your trainings, drills, inspections, meetings and report deadlines — the same planner as the phone app, synced through your account. Reminders ring on the phone; here you can plan ahead and tick things off. Your five report submission checks appear here automatically, the same as on the phone: Scorecard and Leadership Tour every Saturday, the Weekly H&S Report Dashboard every Monday, the Monthly H&S Statistical Report on the 22nd and the Monthly Planner on the 28th.
Add plan
Import from HSE Plan
Pick a generated Monthly HSE Plan — its activities become Assistant items on their plan dates. Items whose date has already passed are flagged before you import; nothing is imported until you confirm.
AI Companion — meetings
Meetings recorded and minuted in the phone app appear here with their discussion points and action points. Recording a meeting and writing its minutes with AI happen on the phone; here you can read the minutes and share them as text.
The flow tiles open their format sections in the Reports tab — Inspections is the H&S Observation Report, Incidents covers the Initial Incident Notification, the Incident Investigation Report and the Witness Statement, Drills the Emergency Drill Record, Campaigns the H&S Campaign + Weekly Good Practice — exactly as the phone's tiles route.
1 · Open Observation
Photos stay on this device: a photo you add here is kept only in this browser and is never uploaded or synced — the record syncs, the photo does not (data-only sync, like the phone's files). It is sent to the AI only when you tap “Draft from photo”. Download photos from the phone app when you need the files.
2 · Observation Closeout
Pick an open observation, add the closeout photo and statement (or draft it with AI when both photos are available), and save — the observation closes with today's date, exactly as the phone does it.
Report Library
ONE main folder holding every saving folder with its name — the Weekly HSE and Monthly Statistical doors, My Reports, and every folder you create. Search finds a report across all of them. Every saved file offers Open · Share · Edit · Rename · Convert · Move · Delete; deleting a folder moves its reports to My Reports — nothing is lost.
Attach your own report format for the selected project and generate from it here — the same contract as the phone app's folder: the engine writes only into the format's own cells and wipes the old data. The format file is stored only in this browser; the field mappings sync with your account and are managed in the Reports tab (“Your own attached format”). On the laptop the generated file downloads — that download is the web's share.
The Monthly Planner is prepared in the Reports tab (House formats → Monthly HSE Plan); the plans you generate are filed here.
Your own folder. Attach any report format (.xlsx, .docx or .pptx) and generate into it from the selected project's observations — the engine writes only into the format's own cells/places and wipes the sample data. The format file is stored only in this browser (the phone keeps folder formats on the device too); the folder itself and its reports sync with your account. Deleting the folder moves its reports to My Reports — nothing is lost.
These four details ride into the generation: the project name and date stamp the filled format, and all four join the umbrella outputs as a details block.
No documents or reports yet.
Documents
Your document folders in this browser — the phone keeps its Documents box on the device too, so the two do not sync yet (the same honest limit as the phone's v2.7.0). Edited PDFs land in Saved Files; scans and imports land in any folder you name. Deleting a folder moves its files to Saved Files.
Supporting Attachments
One library for every format and file you work with, in folders you name yourself. When a report offers Attach format, you can pick the format from this library instead: the app suggests the best-matching stored format, and a search lists every stored file by name across all folders. The library is stored only in this browser — the phone keeps its library on the device too (v2.8.0), so the two do not sync yet. Deleting a folder moves its files to General — nothing is lost.
Generate a document with AI
Describe what you need; the AI drafts it in the same controlled-document format as the phone app, and you download a real Word (.docx) file. The record is also saved to your library. Generation runs on your own Replicate account if a token is saved in Settings (about $0.001 per document); with no token it runs free on the Safety Observer server while you are signed in.
The format follows the document type (JSA → Excel, Presentation → PowerPoint) until you pick one yourself — the same rule as the phone app. The summary reports and the house formats are generated in the Reports tab; your own attached formats live in the Library's folders. Every saved document converts to the other umbrella formats (Word · PowerPoint · PDF · Excel) from its Library row.
Standards library (offline)
Clause numbers, titles and plain-language summaries from the phone app's built-in library — ISO 45001, OSHA 1910 / 1926 and NEBOSH IGC. Summaries are the app's own words; the standards themselves are not reproduced.
Ask the standards
The AI must cite a standard + clause for every claim, or say plainly that no clause covers the question. Uses AI drafting (your Replicate token from Settings, or the Safety Observer server while signed in).
History (kept in this browser)
Safety Calculators
The phone app's calculators — same formulas, same maths, each with its standard reference.
Unit conversions
CV Builder
Fill the form — or paste/import an existing CV and let the AI fill the form for your review. It never generates a CV straight from unreviewed AI output.
Compress a built CV
Rebuild a CV you have already generated at a smaller size — the photo is re-encoded smaller, the way the phone app's compress tiers work. The smaller copy is downloaded and saved to the library as a new record; the original is untouched.
Presentations
Give a topic; the AI builds a slide deck (.pptx) in the app's format — a title slide plus content slides with short bullets. Generated through the Documents flow (type: Presentation), so the deck is also saved to your library.
With no format attached, this fills the Generate Document form with type “Presentation” — press Generate there to build the deck (the four details ride into the draft). With a format attached, the deck is generated and filled into your format here, in the Save-as format you pick, and saved to your library. Photos are placed into an attached format; without one the deck is built from text only — the web builders' stated limit.
Scaffolding catalogue
Scaffold types and components in short, easy wording — the phone app's learning catalogue, pictures included. Everything is bundled with the site: fully offline once loaded.
My Profile
Your professional profile — the same record as the phone app's Profile screen. The details below sync with your account; your photo, company logo and an uploaded CV are files, so they stay in this browser only — exactly as they stay on the phone.
Photo & company logo — on this device
Shown in the page header, like the phone app's home header. Stored only in this browser.
My CV
Edit opens the CV Builder with the form filled from this profile, for your review — nothing is generated without you. Compress rebuilds a built CV smaller, through the CV Builder. An uploaded CV file is stored only in this browser.
Appearance — Interface Themes
The same five interfaces as the phone app: switching the interface restyles the whole page — header, cards and tile icons — and the icon style and colour apply to the home tiles in every interface. Kept in this browser only.
Account
Devices: this account is for one phone and one laptop (this web app). A second phone needs the owner's approval at the full app price — approvals are managed in the phone app, under Device access. This page only shows the rule; it cannot approve devices.
Safety Observer Web V10.2
Your name for report signatures
Used to pre-fill the “Prepared by” / “Reviewed by” fields of the house formats in the Reports tab — the same names the phone app keeps in its Settings. Stored only in this browser.
Observation photos
The phone app's photo stamp: when this is ON, every photo that enters an observation through the Capture tab (upload or webcam) gets the current date and time written onto the copy stored in this browser — “15 Oct 2026 · 01:36 PM”. OFF stores photos untouched. Kept in this browser only.
Manhours
Auto-add daily manhours (the phone app's Settings switch of the same name): when this is ON, a day with no manpower entry is filled automatically with the last entered manpower, so the cumulative manhours stay up to date. Filled days are marked AUTO and can be corrected at any time. Kept in this browser only.
Replicate API token (optional — for AI drafting)
The token is optional. With no token saved, AI drafting runs on the Safety Observer server while you are signed in — free, up to 30 AI calls a month (the phone app works the same way). A saved token takes over and drafts on your own Replicate account instead. The same token as in the phone app's Settings. It is stored only in this browser (local storage) — never sent to Firestore, never shared. Document generation sends your description text to the AI service, as the phone app does.
Admin — users
Every registered account, its registration details, presence and activity — and, under rules v2.2, each user's projects, observations, documents and reports, which you can open and download from the user detail. Blocking takes effect in the app (the user is signed out with a plain message) and in the database rules (their writes are denied). Visible only to the owner account.
The user list could not be loaded. If the current security rules are not published yet, publish them first (RULES-V2-DEPLOY.md, step 2) — the old rules allow each user to read only their own data.
